Hey there,I want to tell you a bit about my journey.I have been in the culinary world for over 14 years now, starting as a dishwasher and working my way up through the ranks. For the past 4 years, I was working at Craft Beer Market in Vancouver as the Executive Sous Chef. My journey at Craft started with myself being hired as the Senior Night Sous Chef. With the help from my Chef, we rebuilt the entire night team focusing on proper training, and ensuring every team member felt like they were part of a family and not just a cog in a wheel. It was a difficult journey, but it has been a very rewarding experience and a great learning opportunity for myself.I was promoted to Executive Sous Chef after 2.5 years. My chef and i kicked it into high gear with training and people development. We focused on promoting a culture of having fun, family but most importantly we really focused on honesty. We made sure our team knew that we would do what ever we could to support them.It has been a fantastic journey for myself, professionally and personally.I am always looking to learn and grow as a chef and as an individual. I look at the future and see a world of opportunity, growth potential and it really excites me!Most recently I have started working as the Innovation Chef at Dalina. I have created multiple dishes that allow our guests to take our products home with them so they can create their own meals. This has been a very rewarding and challenging experience for me. The biggest thing I was in charge of to date, was creating our 50 Mile Menu in a partnership with Oroweat Breads. 3 sandwiches with all the ingredients produced within a 50 mile radius of Vancouver. Considering this project started in December, it was a challenge but it has turned out to be one of the best experiences of my career. I really look forward to meeting and getting to know you better!
