My name is Matt Smith, I am currently enrolled as a Junior at Endicott College as an Accounting major. The summer after my freshman year I acquired an Accounting Internship at a local real estate firm where I learned skills in QuickBooks, learned the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable aspects of the business, how to reconcile bank statements and how to financially analyze those statements. I have gained experience in Excel, Access, and multiple other online features that have all helped me be where I am today. In the middle of my sophomore year, I completed another internship that gave me experience in the marketing field as well which greatly increased my professionalism and communication skills. I fulfilled my role as a Sales Representative intern for the winter months.I have an internship lined up for the spring of 2023, in Portland, Maine. I will be a tax intern for Baker Newman Noyes, a public accounting firm. The internship will be a replacement of the classes I would regularly take, but get me the same amount of the credits needed to stay on my path to graduate with my Batcheler's Degree. My goals for the internship are to get a good grip of what I want my career path to look for after I graduate. I'm really looking forward to learning more about the tax world.I plan to graduate in May of 2024, and in the following year getting my MBA at a college or university that I haven't looked into yet. While working for my MBA, I plan on studying for the CPA Exam. After I complete those goals, I will then be ready to pursue my career and any opportunities that align with where I see my career going in the future after college. If any opportunities arise for a company or organization that has an open position that works with my schedule, I am open to getting in touch with you.Skills:QuickbooksCreative ThinkingMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft AccessSocial MediaOrganization SkillsProblem SolvingCommitment
