About Matt Smylie

Primary research interests are characterization of nematic and ferromagnetic superconductors, as well as effects of particle irradiation on electronic and magnetic properties of materials, particularly high-temperature superconductors.Experienced in cryogenic design and operation at sub-Kelvin temperatures, and several characterization techniques including SQUID magnetometry, magnetotransport, tunnel diode resonance, ESR, and XRD. Competent machining skills and programming skills.
