After several years of managing the IT Team, I requested a move back to an individual contributor role so that I could spend more time on technical work. My focus has been on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and integrations between our various systems and SaaS tools. I am also heavily involved in our internal audits for SOX and SOC2, and am part of the team working on our FedRAMP certification. I'm regularly involved in assisting our IT HelpDesk team with support, and with security work on the IT side of things in conjunction with our Security Team.

I built the IT team for PagerDuty. I started as the sole IT staffer when we had abut 30 employees, and now we're closing on 300 and I lead a team of six. My team and I maintain LAN and WLAN, all staff laptops, assorted AV equipment, and printers for our five offices and for our remote employees. We handle IT related aspects of employee on-boarding and off-boarding. We manage SaaS instances (Google Apps, Atlassian Suite, etc). I make IT purchasing recommendations and liaise with vendors and service providers. I've developed and implemented our IT policies, from acceptable use, to security, to computer lifecyle. I work frequently with other teams across functional areas, from HR to Sales to Finance to Engineering, and make sure we're making technology decisions with the right contextual data.

Serve as Systems Administrator for a ~75 person company spread across three buildings. Maintain and support network infrastructure and networking equipment, including firewall and VPN. Manage servers and SAN, including backups to a tape library. Maintain desktop and portable systems, including system imaging and out-of-warranty repairs. Maintain equipment inventory and manage software licensing. On-board and off-board employees as pertaining to computing resources. Make purchasing recommendations. Liaise with vendors and service providers. Manage SaaS instances (Google Apps) and self-hosted installs of similar products (Atlassian).
