Matt is an Associate Structural Engineer at Burns & McDonnell bringing more than 14 years of design and project management experience. He has developed and refined his skills in the power plant industry as well as the oil and gas industry at Burns & McDonnell. Matt has worked across the country providing design, project management, and construction support services to his clients. His expertise includes new building design, retrofit of existing structures, and constructability reviews. He is familiar with and has working knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and CMU design and software such as Microsoft Projects. Matt's role includes leading project teams to complete project scope, communicating critical project status to the teams and clients, tracking project tasks, performing structural design tasks, and exceeding client expectations. Matt is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple States as well as a licensed Structural Engineer in the State of Illinois. On a recent project, Matt spent over 7 months on-site at a construction site for a new combined cycle power plant and worked tirelessly to help support his client's need to get the project back on schedule and meet budget.
