I currently work for a Company that delivers High speed fibre optic broadband. I joined the company as an junior engineer with no previous experience, I have been credited for A9, SA002 plus many other BT creditation’s. I hold a EUSR and NWRSA card. Installed fibre infrastructure when I started at Bermondsey in London then to all over London and the South East/West, East/West Sussex, Essex and Kent for the company to a recognised high standard. I have built infrastructure to SDU’s and MDU’s for FTTH. From there on I’ve taught and inspired many other engineers to further themselves within our company. I’ve lead teams of 3 engineers this included not only the installation of fibre cables but daily accurate detailed Reports and in cases managing jobs with multiple teams, collecting all data and information provided by these teams to organise into comprehensive accurate detailed reports. I currently lead a team of two engineers within the new builds department working closely with 4 different area deployment managers delivering our services to new property developments in the south of the uk. In 2019 I attended a course in Fibre Splicing at PQMS Coventry, taught by experts in this field of industry in preparation to building a complete network from a cab to the end customer for day 1 on New build developments. This has given me basic skills to allow me to splice fibres at nodes, trays in cabs and CSP’s at properties. I’ve also had opportunities to re design sites to make them more efficient and make them easier for maintenance with future proofing in mind.
