Parrotdog Brewery, a company I co-founded with Matt Kristofski, Matt Warner and Paul Watson, is now a large-scale player in the New Zealand beer industry. Since the company's inception in 2021 I have held numerous roles as the company has developed and grown including Finance Director, CFO, Commercial Director and my present role of Non-Executive Director. Over the businesses lifecycle we have grown this business from a start up brewery in a small shed on Vivian Street in Wellington's CBD to what it is today, the largest independently owned brewing operation in New Zealand, with its large commercial brewery and bar in Lyall Bay Wellington, 60 + incredible staff and ~1,700 public shareholders. Since transitioning to the new capacity of Non-Executive Director I continue to contribute to the organisaston in a governance capacity. I retain my founding shareholding and my unwavering passion and commitment to the brand and company's success.

Through the acquisition of Openside I joined the Deloitte Wellington Accounting and Advisory team. Now a Chartered Accountant I managed my own portfolio of clients under the guidance of Partner Stephen Nicholas. I enjoyed the continual close contact with small to medium sized clients, the depth of knowledge and resources a large firm can provide, the opportunity to work on larger more challenging projects and the social aspects of working with a large amount of people. I left Deloitte only to pursue ParrotDog's growth opportunities.

Wellington

I worked at Openside CA Limited as a client accountant for 4 years until it was acquired by Deloitte. At Openside I worked closely with many start up/SME companies, providing compliance accounting and business consulting. Working in a small growth accounting company with a strong entrepreneurial spirit gave me great experience and confidence to start my own ventures. Openside is also the firm in which I gained my Chartered Accountant qualification.
