I have amassed a depth of experience in high performance teams spanning a 15 year professional career playing predominantly in the English rugby premiership with 44 caps for the England national team and two British & Irish Lions tours. After retirement from the game I have used my experience of what makes teams perform coupled with a passion for service delivery and guest experience in the hospitality industry. More recently being in charge of the hospitality team at one of South Africa's best wine estates. I oversaw a team of 300+ employees in a very busy, complex and evolving agri-tourism landscape. In my tenure at Boschendal we implemented key philosophies around team dynamics and accountability in order to develop a culture of exceptional service which saw a huge growth in the popularity of the product alongside the development of key efficiencies connected to profitability. I am passionate about experience and believe how we treat our staff, guests, clients and suppliers should not be mutually exclusive but rather the closer they resemble one another is the most important indicator of the long term success of any business.
