I am an ambitious and practical person, with very strong leadership and coaching skills who has combined academic skills with an interest and passion for outdoor activities and more recently as a part time fireman with the fire and rescue service in Höganäs. I have an extensive practical experience of adventure sports, as a participant, coach, manager and rescuer. As a coach, lecturer and instructor, I am well used to speaking to and interacting with small and large groups of people. I also work part time as a guide/instructor.I am media interview trained and often speak at public meetings, conferences and fora, as well as handling online/social media matters and freedom of information requests for Natural Resources Wales. My previous role, as a technical adviser on water recreation to the Welsh Government has given me significant experience in dealing with the development of and delivery of government policy, on political, financial and practical levels. I also have significant experience of conflict resolution between interests with very strongly held and often opposing views, such as recreation users and land owners/managers.My first language is English and I am also fluent in Swedish, I work occasionally for Sweco Environment AB here i Sweden as a technical translator from Swedish to English, often for Environmental Impact Assessments or similar.
