This position assists in the AV design, manages installations and regular maintenance, and offers support for all campus spaces utilizing audio/video technologies. These rooms include classrooms, event spaces, and conference rooms. Since taking on this role, the vision has been ruthless standardization among the campus, meaning AV tech will be the same from classroom to classroom and from conference room to conference room. This gives the user a more reliable experience where an individual only needs to learn one system as opposed to each room having its own unique system previously. To meet Covid guidelines, initial responsibilities included updating registrar classrooms for a virtual class experience utilizing Zoom, creating temporary classrooms, and assisting faculty with learning the new classroom technologies. Since that time, as the primary evening technician, I am tier 1 support for in-class service calls along with supervising student employees responsible for daily classroom checks and responding to the failed elements. In addition, I provide maintenance on AV equipment for University Enterprise and Events (UEE) spaces which includes the football stadium Crossroads buildings along with the Morris Inn and McKenna Hall conference center. During class breaks, special projects range from equipment swaps and installs, faculty training, and data collection.

Outside of the studio, responsibilities included setting-up and operating on-site equipment for remote broadcasts and concerts while serving as the point of contact for clients and sponsors ensuring their vision is met.
