Matt’s Border Collie and Australian Shepherds demanded more of him than standard pet ownership. In an effort to keep everyone mentally and physically sound, Matt has supplemented his intuitive feel for canine training by studying under some of the finest animal behaviorists working today. In his studies he has trained chickens to race in obstacle courses while Matt's personal dogs are titled in agility, search and rescue, tracking, tricks, and scent detection. Matt is an operant conditioning trainer using timing and reward-based methods to capture and train desired results. Due to the many hours of studying, training, and competing with dogs, Matt is able to cast the right animals for the job. He can also anticipate behaviors and react with perfect timing due to many hours of working with a variety of mammals, reptiles and bird types.
