Matt joined Aviva in 1995, having completed his education at Hull University.In his current role, Matt is responsible for prioritising the change agenda across UKL Protection, acting as Operations Sponsor for the business within the Protection programme transformation team. His main goal in 2023 is to sponsor a programme of continual improvement aimed at digitising and automating processes within Aviva's protection business. Matt joined the UKL Change Delivery team having previously worked as a Customer Service Manager across a wide range of the Aviva UKL business including Halifax TPA, Investments, Agency & Commission and the WRAP Platform. He has a reputation for putting together high performing teams in regulated environments with a focus on end customer and efficiency improvements across a staff base of 100+. This led to transformational assignments in operational areas with the goal of service recovery, closure of business units, or migration of work to outsourced partners.In his role as a Change Manager in UKL Protection, Matt has represented the operational areas on large scale changes to the Protection platform, including the introduction of a new quote and apply system for bancassurance partners, and the introduction of brand new trading and back office systems for advised sales (ALPS), which included prioritising operational spend of £2million +. With a strong blend of operational knowledge and change management techniques, including LEAN/SIX SIGMA, AGILE and Product Owner qualifications, Matt is well placed to pinpoint areas of improvement across the UKL business, combining these into cohesive, logical, continual programmes of delivery with a focus on driving end user engagement and maximum return on investment.
