About Matt Vickers

Qualified UX researcher and designer. I switched careers 5 years ago from marketing to tech and haven't looked back. I retrained first for software engineering / QA (Makers Academy), then UX (UX Design Institute Professional Diploma). I have trained and mentored account executives and academy graduates up to client-facing autonomy in core business competencies.I’ve influenced big companies to take rewarding risks. These include expanding IBM’s social media remit to their UK midmarket audience for the first time, introducing new cost-saving ways for American Express to source marketing imagery and leading an app ratings initiative that turned UKTV’s 2.2 star iOS app into 4.7 stars.
