A program administrator with nearly 15 years of experience working with the Florida Medicaid program, Matt Ward has coordinated high priority projects for Medicaid leadership and worked directly in the legislative process for the Medicaid division.During his tenure with Florida Medicaid, he conducted research, compiled documents, coordinated legislative activities and helped with special projects. In 2021, he assisted with the development and drafting of a legislative bill which eliminated obsolete requirements for the Medicaid program and statutory provisions that did not conform to current healthcare standards.Additionally, he developed talking points, presentations and materials for Medicaid division leadership and oversaw employees responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and replying to correspondence and public records requests.As a government operations consultant with the Agency for Health Care Administration, he worked on policy inquiries for agency executive officials and legislative staff as well as non-legislative, executive and media inquiries.
