I lead the Global Engineering Team, managing a team of subject matter experts across different engineering disciplines specalising in Data Centre design. The team and i support all departments ranging from new site developments, to delivery and procurement, providing technical guidance and leadership. I am accountable for the Colt DCS Global Reference Design (GRD) ensuring that our Data Centre design is optimal in meeting our customer requirements, cost efficient, using best available techniques and innovative solutions. I drive standarisation across the different Regions that Colt DCS operate in and ensure procurement strategies such as OFCI are adhered to.

Working in the Global Engineering Team, I was the technical authority for the Electrical Engineering discipline, providing support & guidance globally to our Regional Engineering Teams. I ensured that our teams adhere to our standardised design and OFCI equipment procurement strategies having a commercial approach in all aspects of the projects including design, engineering and construction. I acted as the SME on HV, MV & LV systems including Standby Generators, Switchgear, UPS, Transformers, Controls and Monitoring, Small Power and Lighting. Importantly i captured lessons learnt for continuous improvement both technically and commercially to ensure our solutions meet customer requirements in the leanest way.

Electrical Engineering Manager responsible for managing a team of Technical Specialists. The team and I are responsible for the design, policy and strategy of the systems & products we use within our mission critical electrical infrastructure. This ranges from incoming supplies (MV/LV) all the way until Power is delivered to the device within a critical room via primary and secondary resilient systems. Not only do i ensure that our technical policies & specifications are inline with our company strategy to achieve the end result for our stakeholders, but they also need to be kept up to date with industry innovation and be financially viable.

Technical Manager covering all aspects of Electrical design for data centre & mission critical MV/LV supplies, Generators, ATS, UPS, PDU, DC Power Systems. Set out company wide strategy, standards/policy and monitor compliance. Support new build, end of life replacement and capacity driven growth upgrades.

- Provide 2nd line M&E technical support to all of BT Group.- Prescribe solutions to technical barriers- Consultancy services.- Produce RAMS and/or provide technical sign off.- Incident Management.- Investigate failures, produce technical reports on root cause and post incident recommendations.- Provide independent technical views on new M&E products for type approval testing.- Design, develop and deliver training courses.- Produce and review current policies and field briefings.

I worked in an operational team providing routine maintenance and fault repairs on Electrical and Mechanical equipment within BT Telephone Exchanges and Data Centre’s.
