Voluntary role shadowing the 1st Team physiotherapist during 23/24 season.- Pre/ post event sports massage - Assisting with immediate pitch-side first aid- Planning and delivery of return to play rehabilitation ensuring dynamic correspondence and suitability for stage of injury

6 Week placement at LGI on the Neurology wardDeveloping skills in:- Neurological assessment and delivery of safe evidence- informed intervention on a ward environment- Collaborative MDT working; handing over to other teams, organising joint sessions with OT/ SLT, onward referral paperwork- Overcoming severe communication barriers due to motor/ cognitive deficits- Furthering knowledge on a variety of neurological conditions

6 Week placement at Neoniq student-led physiotherapy clinicDeveloping skills in:- Subjective + objective assessment of various MSK conditions. - Collaborative working with other students to analyse information and plan suitable rehab plans, including home exercise programs.- Administrative tasks organising the clinic diary and responding to enquiries etc.

6 Week placement with LCHT on the Community Stroke Rehab TeamDeveloping skills in:- Rehabilitation of stroke patients with a variety of chronic presentations- MDT working with SLT to overcome barriers associated with strokes such as aphasia. Delegation/ referral to TAP/ RA where appropriate. - Organisation and flexibility working in community/ patients' home environment

6 Week placement at Spire, EllandDeveloping skills in:- Rehabilitation of elective orthopedic procedures such as: THR, TKR, shoulder replacements, spinal surgery amongst others. - Leading post-operative group exercises classes- Ward management

6 Week placement on General ICU at LGI.Developing skills in:- Multisystem assessments- Respiratory physiotherapy including optimal invasive/ non-invasive ventilation - Rehabilitation of chronic/ acute neurological conditions
