Led a team of Search Language Specialists supporting improvements and enhancements to the Google Assistant line of products focusing on internationalization and localization.

Currently I manage three teams totaling twenty seven direct reports--two QA teams and one Build and Release Engineering Support Team in Austin, TX. These teams include full time and contract resources spread across five geographies. We primarily provide build, deployment, release engineering and infrastructure support as well as quality assurance for several critical internal software applications at the firm.

•IBM UrbanCode consultant at MetLife designing processes for and implementing full end-to-end solutions and integrations with large numbers of existing applications across widely varying topologies and diverse software integrations.•DevOps lead consultant at UMB Bank. Led the development and infrastructure teams in on-boarding, designing and implementing their DevOps solution using IBM UrbanCode Deploy integrating with their existing build infrastructure.•Provided customized education for Zions Bank on Rational Team Concert as part of a larger enterprise-wide CLM stack adoption and led the planning and implementation of the RTC Pilot for this adoption.•Developed code for the Texas government agency DFPS as part of their migration away from legacy COBOL code to Java code.•Provided both on-site and virtual education courses to many clients on various Rational products and IBM UrbanCode Deploy in both customized course fashion as well as standardized IBM course offerings.

• Security focal point for the RTC product providing direction and managing security fixes that impacted the product across the board as well as providing technical direction for source code scanning for potential security compromises.• Developed and delivered critical customer driven requirements in the core build component of the Rational Team Concert product.• Played a critical role in performance improvements for the Enterprise Extensions team that enabled the enterprise function to scale considerably better through the additions of caching and thread based optimizations.• Principal developer for the Enterprise Extensions build definition, promotion and deployment and build subset tooling as well as the source code dependency data collection editor.• As a member of both functional teams and run teams through several releases in a continuous delivery development model, became proficient at load balancing defect and development work with project planning and requirements gathering.• Technical focal point for tooling componentry for the Enterprise Extensions team and liaison to the CLM product UX leadership team for future tooling direction. • Member developer for the RDz-RTCz integration solution used in “RTC for z” version 2.0.0.1 allowing System z customers to tightly integrate their development environments with RTC Source Control Management (SCM) and Planning functionality.• Scrum master for the RTC Enterprise Extensions fixpacks 2.0.0.2 – 3.0.1.x coordinating development and test resource while taking part in fixpack content planning with product management teams.• Level 3 contact for RTCi managed beta program fielding customer inquiries, managing defect takedown and responding to forum discussions while providing metrics and feedback to the IBM managed beta program manager.• Release engineer coordinating the build and packaging of our product into a consumable offering for the larger Rational Team Concert organization.

• Developed ground breaking drag and drop editor for Basic Mapping Support (BMS) maps—the EGL Form Editor that enabled developers to create “green screen” maps with a drag and drop type interface while automatically establishing data bindings for these components in EGL. Presented this feature function at an EGL User Conference, which was very well received.• Played a crucial role in the design and development of the common EGL Model Driven Development (MDD) framework. This framework allowed for in house extension—by teams like zAPG—as well as third parties. Lead developer for the EGL Transformation Parameters Editor—an editor that utilized the common MDD framework to consume UML models built in Rational Software Architect and generate parameterized EGL code. • Took part in work surrounding the SOA and Deployment Descriptor tooling with a primary focus on UI development and scenario identification.

• Played an active roll in a highly critical functional and system verification test team for the WebSphere Studio Enterprise Developer (WSED) software offering and the Web Tools Struts Tooling team.• Led the test team in establishing a suite of automated test cases to streamline our processes.• Designed and submitted for patent application an automated test framework that integrates SWT user interfaces with Rational XDE Tester.

Worked in the Information Technology center for Atlantic Mutual Companies in Salem, VA. Main job responsibilities included managing the port of the in-house rating software written for AS/400 to a PC-based field application for agents.
