About Matt Bate

I am an enthusiastic web developer with over 15 years commercial experience in developing web applications, often working with large data driven websites that sit with in a complex environment. I enjoy learning new skills and keeping up to date with the latest ideas out there, garnered from attending conferences and following industry leaders blogs/twitter feeds.I have had experience of taking part in the technical and user experience design of many projects and enjoy creating a solution that gets the best out of the technologies available. Throughout my career I have worked on all layers of web applications from database up through all layers to the web browser, this proves invaluable to any project as I am able to contribute to designing how all the layers fit together.My work at Iress has been governed by a strong process management ethos, involving project managers, business analysts, backend developers, testers and multiple testing environments all managed using TFS.Very good knowledge of HTML and CSS, with up to date awareness of standards including developing useable and accessible websites.Javascript for front end user interfaces using and extending frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, jQueryUI, loDash, Moment and using object oriented JS techniques.ASP.net MVC4 development, including extending MVC by writing custom features such as html helpers and custom model binders.
