I lead the technical team at Bromford; a self-delivering housing association. My team consists of our Design, Engineering and Planning disciplines and supports other teams and colleagues across the Bromford group, such as land and development.Leading the technical team draws on my varied experience. Risk management and leadership are central to the role. Being a senior leader, I report directly to Board and other leadership forums.Leading with with action whilst creating other leaders is my approach. I am a quick learner, resourceful, efficient, and acutely aware of the need to nurture relationships. Positive outcomes for the team, the business and our customers are my focus.I'm an Incorporated Civil Engineer experienced in highways, groundworks, drainage, concrete frames, and temporary works. I also work across functions, managing multidisciplinary teams that include Architecture, M&E, Planning, Transport, Geo-environmental, among many others. My career has provided a wide range of experience. Pertinent to development, I am practiced in standard house type development, site technical appraisal, assessment of abnormals, securing technical approvals & adoption agreements, managing the building control process, design management, consultant procurement & management, adoptions management and new services procurement.Employment across several roles has strengthened and broadened my abilities and understanding. The various settings include Developer, Local Authority, Consultancy and Main Contracting. I am now studying for an MBA in Construction and Real Estate to strengthen my skillset in senior leadership positions.
