Architected a solution to achieve realtime business metric analytics for admin level clients. Utilized Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, and Apache Pinot for data streaming, processing, and aggregation. My primary role at the Lottery was to do quarterly cyber-security audits of Twin River Casino, Newport Grand Casino, IGT (provider for instate games) and internally. I tracked issues generated from ISO 27001:2013 audits and other critical security issues. Secondary functions included general IT support and scripting.

Our projects often began with meeting a professor or research student. We discussed a possible solution to the issue they were having either in class or out in the research field. From here, we began designing a web application that would be suitable to their needs. Weekly meetings were arranged to keep the progress and requirements of the project synchronized. Extra communication was done via email. In the web application team of the department, my role was to manage the projects, distribute the tasks at hand, and guide the progress of the project. In addition to my development work, I participated in the presentation of our projects to department representatives from within the University. I also built and managed a Git code repository on a VPS server to securely store the projects being developed.Our applications took on a full stack web development process. It included a spin up of a Linux VPS on Digital Ocean, development of a RESTful API in PHP5 for the back-end storage to interface with a relational MySQL database, and a front end application written in JavaScript and frameworks such as React.js and Backbone.js.

I stocked the main floor as well as organized the inventory in the back room. I also handled transactions with the clientele which included checking identification to see if they were 18 or older to purchase tobacco and lottery products. I also had to check if the customer was at least 21 to purchase alcohol.

I participated in a "Senior Experience" program at my high school, and chose to spend ten Monday's in Swarovski North America's IT department (Help Desk). I gained some insight into the corporate world and customer service skills. I assisted in the imaging of new desktop computers for employees.
