I am a buy-side fixed income analyst with experience covering high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and investment grade bonds. I am currently a lead analyst for the technology and telecom sectors, with previous experience covering healthcare, media, consumer-oriented industries, banks, and a few cyclical sectors. My experience includes making recommendations for insurance general accounts, CLOs, and total return funds. I have experience expressing investment recommendations by presenting internally-published research to committees, offering opinions during morning meetings, and working with portfolio managers on a day-to-day basis. Written reports include deep-dive fundamental reports, an industry review which breaks down industries into sub-sectors, and flexible written updates to discuss credit events, such as M&A, earnings, and ratings changes. My experience also includes knowledge of portfolio management by comparing metrics of a portfolio to its associated benchmark, like issuer and industry weights, and duration. This also consists of leading the development and front-end design of new internal tools for our research department by working with developers in IT to implement raw-bond index data into readable and usable format for analysts.
