Opko Diagnostics has developed a microfluidics-based device consisting of a disposable, credit-card-sized test cassette and a small desktop analyzer. This combination produces rapid test results for several difficult-to-diagnose conditions using only a finger stick drop of blood. My responsibilities and accomplishments in this position include: -Management of inter-departmental team to coordinate the execution of FDA validation. This included the development of IQ/OQ/PQ validation plans, protocols and reports for critical manufacturing processes. FDA approval for our point-of-care Sangia Total Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) Test was received on February 1st, 2019.-Creating financial analysis models based on a commercial production forecastThese models included direct and indirect labor, overhead, capital expenditures, cost of goods and gross margin. I also developed production output models and comprehensive implementation timelines to meet the commercial production forecast. These models took into consideration equipment cycle time, scrap rates and equipment availability. All models and implementation timelines were presented to senior management, including feasibility recommendations.-Managing the company's transition from R&D production to commercial production. I've led the company's transition to commercial production using an expansion plan developed through commercial production forecast models. This includes sourcing equipment suppliers, equipment procurement and the coordination of equipment installation. I have developed a plan for optimal placement for new equipment, taking into consideration process flow.

Leoni Wire (LWI) is a manufacturing organization that produces various configurations of fine copper wire for high performance applications. During my time at LWI, I acted as a Process Engineer, primarily supporting the wire drawing department. My job responsibilities included leading new projects within the department, technical customer support, equipment procurement and management, increasing machine efficiency while decreasing scrap rates, tooling management and troubleshooting production issues. Approximately two times per year I would travel to our sister sites in Europe to represent LWI at efficiency workshops where standardizing best practices throughout the company was a priority. I was then tasked with implementing any required changes at our North American facilityOne of my major achievements while employed at Leoni Wire was initiating, planning and coordinating the installation of a wastewater recovery system. Once completed, this system reduced wastewater recycling costs by 80%. I accomplished this while overseeing an annual tooling budget of $700,000 and reducing related expenditures by 15%.
