The 18-month, $74M project was the largest in Walmart Canada’s history, and affected 3,000 associates at 395 worksites.I personally oversaw development of the project's budget, schedule and resources from concept to conclusion. With the support of regional, district, and local HR leaders, my team facilitated a nationwide talent assessment of 3,000 retail operations managers. And program managed the activity to acknowledge, notify and support each of them individually. -
Human Resources Manager, Growth & IntegrationWalmart 2012 - 2013Vancouver, Canada AreaIn this national role, I supported HR for our real estate division, and each of its project teams. The portfolio included property acquisitions as a result of purchase, lease, or merger, alongside other capital projects. My responsibilities included the strategic workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and total rewards for all project worksites. I developed national programs, and worked through local leadership to ensure it was completed. In this role, I opened 21 new retail locations, increasing chain-wide sales by over $250M. I also developed and piloted a project-specific HR best practices that reduced regrettable attrition during construction, and opening delays as a result of understaffing, while increasing employee engagement and retention. -
