21–87 is an office for design. We develop memorable visual identities, publications and spaces guided by an inquisitive, research-led approach. Recent commissions include an identity for online ethical marketplace Inland, a delightfully surprising ecom store for Song for the Mute, and a wayfinding system for electric vehicle manufacturer Arrival.

Working closely with internal teams and key stakeholders including founder Nick Jones and CCO Andrew Carnie, Soho Home was repositioned as a contemporary design-led interiors brand, with a focus on an elevated customer experience. The entire brand was re-designed from the ground up, covering everything from the brand identity and packaging to press and marketing promotions. Designs were stripped back to create clear brand recognition, using a sophisticated shade of grey with branding applied as a gloss black foil. Gift packaging is completely recyclable and biodegradable, manufactured with paper made from 100% post-industrial waste and recycled cotton handles, and e-com shipping boxes were even redesigned to reduce weight, and gummed paper tape introduced to create 100% recyclable packaging.

Creating elevated brand identities and packaging for clients operating in the fashion, lifestyle and luxury sectors, such as Arc’teryx Veilance, CMMN SWDN, Kiko Kostadinov, Smythson, Song for the Mute, and Vince. Also responsible for the design of True Photo Journal (issues 2–6), a biannual, large-format magazine celebrating unpublished and personal projects by contemporary photographers.
