I joined the College of Engineering in January 2020, soliciting gifts totaling $350,000 for the college and its many departments through unrestricted dollars, scholarship endowments, programmatic and scholarship support. A top fundraiser for the Beyond Boundaries Scholars Program. Part of my responsibilities also included the leadership role I took on with Gravyty in July 2020, which involved the pilot program rollout and implementation among 5 leadership gift officers across the division. I provided valuable insights and feedback that informed the direction of the LGO program in the midst of many organization and institutional changes. Raised just under $500,000 in new gifts and commitments in FY '21 for the college and its departments as well as a significant amount in planned and future gifts.

Blacksburg, Virginia

I served as a centrally based Leadership Gifts Officer with responsibilities to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts at the leadership level from Virginia Tech alumni and friends. In this position I was tasked with securing annual and leadership gifts while also identifying potential major gift prospects to support the mission of Virginia Tech.

Liberty University

Provide analysis of Liberty University Football Program during pre-game and post-post game radio broadcast. Serve as in-game spotter and analyst for play-by-play broadcast. Leverage audience to further promote Special Olympics.

Christiansburg, Virginia Area

Promoted to develop fundraising strategies and support for Special Olympics Virginia’s largest geographic territory that includes 62 cities and counties Responsible for sponsorship development, grant writing, event coordination, and volunteer management. - Liaison to 150 volunteers from 35 law enforcement agencies that conduct more than 50 fundraisers annually including multi-city Law Enforcement Torch Run.-Direct largest single-day fundraiser for Special Olympics Virginia in Southwest VA. Increased event revenues by 75% since 2013.- Oversee statewide partnership with the NCAA DIII, Old Dominion Athletic Conference to promote awareness for Special Olympics Virginia. Partnership has expanded to promote Special Olympics at NCAA DIII championship events.-Consistently increased sponsorship financial support as follows: Dream Ride 50%; Polar Plunge 75%; and, Color Me Rad 100%., while keeping overhead to a minimum on all events.

Lynchburg, Virginia Area

Directed and monitored all aspects of Special Olympics sports programs within designated geographic region that included 20 cities and counties.. Served as primary liaison between state headquarters and local councils to ensure that sports programs and fundraising initiatives adhere to Special Olympics Virginia’s policies and procedures.-Trained and managed a diverse group of volunteer leaders on sports planning, athlete recruitment, fundraising, budget oversight, and goal-setting. -Founded and managed Lynchburg City Schools’ Project Unify Initiative to include track and field events for elementary students with and without intellectual disabilities, unified basketball and volleyball teams in city high schools and “R-Word” Campaign.-Organized and led first region-wide volunteer leadership conference that brought fifteen promising volunteer leaders from Piedmont Region together to learn new program policies, guidelines, and fundraising procedures. -Managed statewide partnership with Virginia Moose Association. Helped provide sports information and logistics as well as budget oversight for largest Special Olympics softball tournament on East Coast, theBedford Softball Invitationalt that hosted 32 teams and over 600 volunteers and Special Olympics athletes for two day competition.
