As Output Editor I led production teams turning raw footage shot by our excellent teams around the globe into compelling multi-format content.I coordinated reaction to breaking news and assigned stories to production teams in London, Bangkok, Washington, New York, Phoenix and Mexico City.I monitored and curated output from AP, our news partners and competitors to ensure we stayed ahead of the curve and surfaced stories trending and being widely shared on social media.I acted as the gatekeeper for our content making sure it is the best it can be on all formats and fully compliant with AP's standards and values.

As a Broadcast Journalist on News 24 my role was to write, update and research news, generate ideas, commission graphics and produce outside broadcasts. I helped reporters with packages and cut and edited pictures. I also wrote and voiced my own TV reports and acted up to senior positions, including picture editor. I contributed to breaking coverage of September 11, the war in Iraq, the London bombings and the death of John Paul II. I was also part of the team for the Election night special in 2005.
