After 8 years in an automotive engineering role, was selected as a memberof the start-up team for Honda Aero, Inc. to establish the company, grow through design anddevelopment and into mass production. Progressive roles with the company included designconfiguration management, export control compliance, supply chain management, and customerservice.Matt joined Honda in 1998 as an engineer at the Honda of America Manufacturing Marysville Ohio Automobile plant. He was a member of the Product Engineering Development team for electrical components on the Honda Accord, Acura TL and Acura RDX models, as well as supporting the development of the 2006 Honda Odyssey. His technical assignments were in the areas of Supplemental Restraint Systems, Multiplexing Systems, Audio components, and wire harnesses. His responsibilities included developing system requirements, identifying design refinements for improvements to both manufacturing and quality, manufacturing quality assessments at supplier facilities, and engineering quality inspections of assembled automobiles.In 2006, Matt was selected as a start up member of Honda Aero, Inc., an aero-engine subsidiary of Honda Motor Company. Matt is currently assigned to the GE Honda Aero Engines Joint Venture as the Director of Customer Service. Before being named to his current position, Matt was a member of the Manufacturing Programs Team, responsible for the management of engine fuel system supply chain. Perviously at Honda Aero, Matt was charged with developing the Honda Aero Configuration Management System, which required uniting the established Honda design methods with those of General Electric Aviation, Honda Aero’s partner in the development of the HF120 engine. Matt also developed Honda Aero’s Export Management System policies and procedures.Matt received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville J.B.
