    With a desire to run an established company with lots of growth potential, I conducted a grueling search for about 15 months and found Dynamic Glass, a two-decades old local glazing contractor. Through intense negotiation, I was able to execute an agreement to purchase the business. This "agreement" was contingent upon my finding a capital sponsor to underwrite the investment. Within 6 weeks, I had several offers and eventually came to deal-terms with a local private equity firm. Together we purchased majority control of the business and instantly enjoyed rapid growth through the execution of our facility expansion and product upgrade plan. As CEO, I formulated the vision, attracted our capital sponsor, upgraded the management team, and created the CFO and Director of Safety positions. Within 20 months, the business enjoyed a new 155,000 sq/ft facility and tripling of revenue backlog. With the guidance of our private equity sponsor and help of the founding owners, we led the business to national recognition. By 2015, the business was in good hands with the team in place, and the private equity sponsor bought my interest as an exit mechanism. Today Dynamic Glass continues to grow and prosper via execution of my original investment plan of regional expansion.

Later that same year, Pecos merged with another environmental start-up, Effective Environmental (E2), and I became the 2nd-largest shareholder in that enterprise. E2 grew rapidly and enjoyed high-profile contracts along with the service of main-street clientele in multiple states. Growth was accomplished through both organic and strategic acquisitions. In 2015, E2 was sold to the publicly-traded company SteriCycle.
