Senior Design Team Project: Closed Loop Water Cooling System for CB&IContribution: Designed a closed loop water cooling system, which was selected as a finalist over 35 other projects, which included sizing the piping, calculating heat loads, thermal analysis, stress analysis, hanger/support calculations, major components specification sheets, pipe routing, P&IDs, and illustrating our design through a 3D Creo model illustrating the major components of the power plant along with our design. Throughout the project reports and presentations were given to illustrate progress between meetings. Also Bentley Auto PIPE was learned and fully utilized in order to perform the stress and hanger analysis, in order to present our final design as an industry standard. Junior Design Team Project: Arduino Powered Laser Pointing MechanismContribution: Working on a diverse team, we designed a laser pointing device that was required to be operated by two stepper motors, a servo motor, and programed using an Arduino Uno with a motor shield expansion. The design utilized Rapid Prototype (RP) in which I took fill material, stress concentrations, the RP machines tolerance, and the RP material properties into consideration. The prototype, which was initially modeled using Pro/Engineer, was designed for assembly and designed for manufacturing as well as following a strict project timeline, and budget. I performed precision tests on the prototype in order to ensure calculate the accuracy of the motors, as well as learning how to program the Arduino to perform the desired functions.
Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Java, Pro Engineer, Matlab, and 12 others.
