I have been in the IT industry since graduating with a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems at Ottawa University in Dec of 2001. I have had the opportunity to spend quality time in many areas of IT. I worked as a help desk tech, as a network admin, as a systems admin, a consultant, sales, marketing, finance, and as a manager of all those roles. This has enabled me to understand how services and products go from an idea to fully operational. I have also had the great opportunity to work with a number of highly intelligent business people and engineers sitting on several committees and groups such as NTI's governance committee, strategy committee, and leadership team. I also helped to develop our internal training program as well as our internal, and go-to-market security services and policies. I also helped lead several internal projects such as our SharePoint migration.In charting my course to become the COO of NTI, I got involved in studying emotional intelligence and how to implement it in business. This education has helped me to understand all the variables of how to manage a diverse workforce, remove roadblocks to get things done, and be a go-giver in all things I do.
