I also work as part of the executive management team of the company with the MD, Operations Director and Technical Director. During my tenure, I have significantly contributed to the increase in turnover from £4.8m in 2011 to a record £9.2m in 2014.I enjoy managing a team of experienced sales professionals and take overall responsibility for all budgets for sales and marketing activities, pro-actively identifying opportunities within both new and existing clients.I have developed a mature network of contacts by working with leading companies across the TV & Film Industry in a variety of genres from Sport to Entertainment, Events to Music, Factual, Natural History and Film.I work closely with companies across the Euro Media Group and continue to develop and manage the Australia office as well as International joint ventures in the UAE and USA. After studying a science and technology based course at University followed by year’s sabbatical as President of the Student’s Guild, I was delighted to be offered an opportunity to work for a leading specialist camera company, Aerial Camera Systems working out of Shepperton Film Studios.Out on site literally from day one, I worked on a diverse range of events and projects from National and International Sporting Events to Entertainment, Music, Commercials and Film Shoots. As an engineer on location, I supported a range of equipment including Mini Cameras, Remote Heads, Stabilized Camera Mounts, Cranes, Rail Cameras, Wire Cameras and RF Systems. I also ran a number of office based camera development and system customization projects and assisted the MD with introduction a number of new camera products. During this period I developed a thorough understanding and experience of Broadcast and Film Technology. Progressing to the role of Senior Engineer and Camera Operator I was appointed project leader for multiple camera events both in the UK and Overseas. I particularly enjoyed interacting with clients and undertaking business development under the direction of the MD.
