Assist planning, implementing, and monitoring various natural resource projects such as wildlife habitat improvement, invasive plant control, social trail closure, and fence removalObserve 20 wildlife nests, including bald eagles and osprey, on weekly basisGather and compile wildlife and plant information into computer database; prepare and submit year-end monitoring report to land managersCooperate with local non-profits to implement resource management projects with volunteer laborControl invasive and noxious range, riparian, and wetland plants using chemical and mechanical controlCompile materials for natural resource management projectsWrite, edit, and distribute press-releases, news articles, flyers, and newsletters to promote special events Communicate with Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff to host environmental education programsWrite and design persuasive visitor signs using demonstrated communication techniquesOperate environmental education center for public and group visitorsSupervise, motivate, and evaluate group of volunteer interpreters
