Life started in Australia as a child to an English heritage dad and a Sri Lankan heritage mum. Sick as a child with chronic asthma from 3 to 7yo, modern medicine saved my life at least twice. Four years of a cocktail of 5-8 pharmaceuticals enabled me to breathe until a 'radical' doctor, Dr John Pease (Melbourne) talked about changing food and introducing physiotherapy. After 3months, I was off all medication. After 4 years of mostly on the sofa unable to breathe, I became unmatched in long distance running - it was as if I had spent the past 4years living at high altitude.Over the following 10years, situations conspired for me to study a four year, full time applied sciences course in naturopathy at what is now Torrens University, Australia. I then worked for 7 years as a Naturopath mostly at Complete Health Medical Centre, Australia working as the resident Naturopath with 6 GPs, 2 Physios, 3 Chiropractors, Podiatry, Medically Supervised Weight Loss and Remedial Massage. We'd consult patients together at times and discuss cases where necessary. Looking back, it was so ahead of its time. Working with individuals and families. After 6 months with one family, the parent asked, "If you can do this for my family, could you do this for my company? In 1996, the first Health For High Achievers was run with Flight Centres for 50senior managers, based on most people knowing what to do to be well but they struggle to do what they know - a problem for us all. We were together for 90minutes (laughing hysterically about bowels I remember) and people left with self-generated responses to Avoid and Increase; foods, movements, sleep, supplementation and mental wellness protocols. This was the first of many large group corporate sessions for Health Insurance, Engineering and Finance firms. I then moved to London.I moved to London in May 1997, continuing with companies only. Wellness evolved to leadership and culture, leading strategic co-creations, teaching co-creation and co-leading project execution (my favourite).Twenty-six years later, I'm now blending Wellness and Leadership more than ever.Executive Team members and senior sales leaders have participated in blood analysis and supplementary questions to help generate specific attentions for themselves regarding Food, Movement, Sleep, Supplementation and Mental Health Practices.
