Following ten years of working as a self-employed historical tour guide (2006-2016), I founded my own company offering high quality educational experiences to private clients - from individual travellers to schools (Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle/CIEE...) and professional clients (Google/Rolex/Deutscher Bundestag/BBC...).Responsibilities and duties include:• Navigating the bureaucratic hurdles of company foundation, company finance, and administration in Germany.• Creating a catalogue of products, establishing a company web presence (Wordpress CMS, JavaScript, PHP), and ensuring client acquisition.• Overseeing a brand solution from the design stages to marketing, social media strategy and campaigns.• Liasing with customers, delivering tours and excursions in-person, and promoting customer retention.• Creating SEO valuable content and cultivating a prominent soclal media presence to increase company visibilty.

In various roles aiding the formation and operation of a registered association of professional Berlin tour guides with over 200 members. From initially acting as Treasurer and Vice-President to serving as President from 2018 to the end of 2020.Responsibilities and duties included: • Coordinating the recognition of the association as a professional body both nationally and internationally.• Implementing an Agile approach to task management and ensuring realisation of specific KPIs.• Delegating roles and tasks while acting as the public face of the association.• Overseeing the development of a guiding community with an online presence and brand identity.• Web development, design and production of guide identity badges, creation of an online tour booking platform (Wordpress CMS, JavaScript, PHP).• Developing partnerships with state and private institutions (Berlin museums and cultural venues).• Implementing social media campaigns and organising content strategy.
