Leadership of additional non-M&A projects included: -Development of a new continuous budgeting system for a regional health insurer under significant financial and competitive pressures as well as a re-balancing of existing Capitation to Fee-For-Service structures. System included the ability to forecast premiums and MLR for all lines of business and tools to indicate deviations from historical cost-of-care trends.-A US based financial analysis team working in conjunction with PwC Hong Kong for the construction and management of 3 large “mega-hospitals” (1,000+ beds) in Hong Kong -Strategic financial planning and management structure design for a 15+ Hospital system's development of one the first CMS-recognized Pioneer ACO's in the country -Strategic solution for the #1 ranked orthopedic hospital in the country related to a significant capital outlay project for expansion into a new market

Cornerstone Charities is a 501 (c)(3) organization which manages a fund which invests in faith-based organizations that meet physical, tangible needs of under-served populations throughout the world. Cornerstone works to identify those charities who are using resources most effectively and are making a true difference.

As a senior associate in the healthcare capital strategies group of Dixon Hughes, I provided consulting services to hospitals to assist them in major capital improvements. Service offerings included debt capacity studies, financial feasibility studies, market projections, and strategic planning. I developed in depth knowledge of various financing options for hospitals including HUD 242, 241, and 223(f) programs, USDA-guaranteed financing, Build-America bonds, and traditional bond issues. Additionally, I developed a scenario forecasting model which gave clients insight into the (then) potential effects of Healthcare Reform (ACA) and meaningful use payments on their overall operational and capital strategies. Our team worked with hospitals throughout the entire country and was based in Dixon Hughes' healthcare consulting office located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

At BKD in Indianapolis, I worked as an auditor and reimbursement consultant, preparing Medicare Cost Reports, in the Health Care practice. BKD was a wonderful place to begin my career and I feel very fortunate to have worked with and learned from such a tremendous group during my time there.
