Cyber Security EngineerLloyds Banking Group Jun 2021 - Sep 2024London, Uk, GbAs the Technical Implementation Lead for the Security Innovation team within the Chief Information Security Office, I was responsible for driving the technical assessment of innovative cybersecurity tools to enhance the security of the Bank's customers and colleagues.In this role, I coordinated with the research team to identify and evaluate companies that provided cutting-edge cybersecurity tooling, building a pipeline of innovation explorations. I was responsible for leading the technical assessment of tools, including managing the technical vendor relationships and rapidly becoming the subject matter expert (SME) on those tools.I led the technical experimentation and proof of concept evaluation to determine whether the tools would benefit the security of the Bank. After successful piloting, I worked closely with the delivery team, transferring knowledge and providing technical guidance to ensure successful delivery of the tools into production.My experience in this role allowed me to develop a deep understanding of emerging cybersecurity technologies and best practices. I gained expertise in managing vendor relationships, leading technical assessments, and ensuring successful implementation of new tools and technologies.Overall, my role as Technical Implementation Lead for the Security Innovation team allowed me to drive innovation and enhance the security of the Bank's customers and colleagues, while also expanding my own technical expertise and leadership skills. -

The system is now in use as a central repository for operational data, used during senior management reviews, and the processes it implements ensure robust and timely updates to data, replacing previous ad-hoc procedures.This was the first time that this had been done within the organisation. Due to a well-developed operating model, these functions have now successfully transitioned to being run from offshore, and I received reward and recognition at from John Downey, then Director of ADM, for these activities.
