After experiencing the benefits of the model personally as a client, I joined Aware Recovery Care in 2012 as a founding investor in a "start-up" based on the industry-changing concept - in-home addiction treatment. From direct care to business development, operations, technology, innovation, and strategy, I've served in various executive leadership roles and have worn many hats while remaining hungry to learn. Aware is a multi-site, multi-state operation "payvider" delivering care throughout the US. Founded in 2011, it was developed in consultation with Yale Addiction psychiatrists and thought leaders in the behavioral health industry. Documenting our successful pursuit to maximize client outcomes, value, and access, ARC published a feasibility study in the Connecticut Journal of Medicine in September 2014, achieving an 80% success rate with the first group of clients followed for an entire year. In 2016, Aware's partnership with Anthem BCBS of Connecticut launched and represented a new era of payer/provider innovation for the greater good of healthcare. In 2020, Aware became PE-backed to assist in accomplishing our mission.
