In my position at Small Gods I am responsible for all recipe creation, ingredient purchasing, contract brewer relationship management, website management and I work with the owner on new product development, packaging and brand strategy.

This role has involved the creation and national roll-out of a brand new range of beers and spirits from concept to packaging design, marketing and on the road sales. I have established a range of products in hundreds of new customers across multiple banners including Foodstuffs, Farro Fresh, Liquorland, Super Liquor and generated significant national in sales in our first year in a saturated market environment despite the category shrinking by 4.4% year on year over this time.

In this broad based role as 2IC of a small company specialising in craft beer my responsibilities covered all aspects of the business. My primary focus was on public facing operations including sales, marketing, new product development, brand planning and PR in addition to strategic decision making, forecasting, purchasing and logistics. As a lean small business the role required hands on experience across all areas for multiple brands, Beer Jerk, Small Gods Brewing, The Fridge & Flagon, TextBeer, Fresh Hop Auckland and The Auckland Beer Mile.

In charge of marketing operations and events across the company including graphic design, website creation, advertising, event logistics and license applications for 3 Brothers Beer sites, Orakei Bay Bistro, The Botanist, Brothers Brewery and Piha Beer General business support and oversight for the group across operations, including bar work, deliveries, events, marketing, sales, maintenance, logistics, accounts, payroll, staff management and general strategy Creation of the Piha Beer brand and delivery to marketRunning regular small batch public brew days and brewery tours Running day to day operations at Brothers Beer in City Works Depot (Lonely Planet’s #1 Auckland Bar, Metro Top 10 Auckland Bars x2) including rostering, invoices and bar work. Responsibilities included: Liasing between clients and in house creative and production teams. Providing creative briefs to creative teams and following through to fulfillment and processing any amendments and creative feedback. Error checking creative work. Assisting with presentation of creative work. Taking feedback to creative teams. Error checking production proofs. Assembling and providing competitor reviews to clients. Providing status and contact reports for clients.
