I decided to start volunteering at the Victoria and Albert Museum because of my love for Asian art together with my fascination for craft and design. My passion for the V&A Museum started way before my commitment as a volunteer and it is growing stronger and stronger with time.Thanks to my voluntary work I was able to get to gain in depth knowledge of the museum and to better understand its internal dynamics. As soon as I started my experience, I quickly built strong and positive relationships with colleagues and supervisors. Furthermore, by working with the visitors and by providing them information, I managed to become very familiar with the V&A Museum structure and organization as well as with its website. I understand the nature and quantity of the website contents and the way the information is organized. Being part of the customer service staff, allowed me to understand volunteers and visitors different approaches, needs and expectations regarding the V&A Museum website and the information provided.I have also been asked to create a website for the volunteers in order to provide the supervisors with a fast and efficient instrument to deliver information and to create a volunteers community where people can communicate with ease. For these reasons, the website is meant to be easily accessed and used also by those who are not accustomed to the web. I decided to use Drupal to develop the website because of its flexibility as a CMS onthe developer side but also for its powerful tools of user creation and management that allow me to provide an easy and smooth experience to the users, both volunteers and supervisors.

Responsibilities:My main responsibility as a Language Tester for SEGA Europe Ltd was to use linguistic skills in an appropriate and accurate matter to deliver a high quality multilingual product. This was achieved by following test scripts in a thorough and consistent manner and use testing skills to find bugs and identify bug severities. Subsequently, it was required to enter professional, clear, accurate and complete bug description.Other responsibilities included working and assisting the translation team to help to implement the translation into the software.Achievements:During my work experience at SEGA my linguistic and technical skills were greatly appreciated by the management. I was often included in projects with high priority and strict deadlines.Also, I was asked to cooperate with the translation department more often than usual.Nature of work:Working as a Language Tester required clear and concise communication skill, in English as well as in the target language. Attention to details and a quality driven attitude were crucial.An excellent level of written communication skills was required by the nature of the company: every project involved constant communication between three teams, one in Europe, one in the USA and one in Japan.
