Matteo works as a Senior Associate with MK Fintech Partners which forms part of a Top Tier International Legal and Advisory Group ‘Michael Kyprianou Group’. Michael Kyprianou group has established an enviable reputation as a broad based legal practice. Matteo advises clients on matters related to DLT, VFAs, digital assets, and data protection.

Matteo works as the COO of Cyberspace Solutions Limited, a digital solutions company which also offers services with regards to data privacy compliance and implementation of compliance procedures on ICT systems.

Matteo started lumco.mt, initially named Lumco Media upon his return from Brussels. From a trade name used for his freelance projects, lumco.mt has now become a consultancy firm which offers a range of services. These services include compliance, data privacy consultancy, EU funding and management consultancy, and Web 3.0 related consultancy. Matteo also took care of vetting, negotiating and drafting all agreements entered into by the company.

Matteo currently serves as the Internal Auditor of ELSA International. His role, along with the other internal auditor, is to ensure ELSA's good governance, compliance and sustainability.

Matteo worked at AE for a number of years, gaining experience in several legal fields including corporate, compliance and civil litigation.

Matteo served as the Vice President for Marketing of the International Board of the European Law Students’ Association for the 2018/2019 term. He moved to ELSA's Brussels headquarters to serve his term, during which he supervised the work of 44 National Groups and their marketeers. Part of his duties included the coordination of ELSA's social media presence and reaching the 60,000 members around Europe. Matteo also supervised and coordinated a team of nine graphic designers - working to create engaging visuals and brands for ELSA's projects. Throughout his term, Matteo also worked in collaboration with many international entities such as the Council of Europe, the IBA, AIJA, and the CCBE to create effective strategies to maximise performance for their collaborative projects. During the year, Matteo was also tasked to work on ELSA's GDPR compliance alongside his board.
