I am a senior consultant in Hepatology with a large experience in the field of Liver Transplantation. My major clinical and research interests are hepatocellular carcinoma, immunology and immunosuppressive drugs, advanced chronic liver disease and decompensated cirrhosis. I worked as a physician and research scientist in some of the most important Liver Transplant Centres in Europe (Ospedale Policlinico of Milan, King’s College Hospital of London, and Ospedale Papa Giovanni XXIII of Bergamo), where I acquired my specific expertise and professional skills. This allowed me to gain a double accreditation and Specialist Certification in Transplant Medicine (UEMS and AISF diploma) in 2017.During my career, I designed and coordinated clinical research and spontaneous clinical trials (Scopus ID 14027303000), and I have been invited regularly to speak at national and international meetings with a focus on immunosuppression in liver transplantation and hepatocellular carcinoma.
