Leading the privacy research team focusing on both anonymization and advanced pseudonymization techniques.

I worked on synthetic data, focusing on the privacy aspects of the generative process (privact machine learning) and on a post-facto evaluation of the residual privacy risks present in the synthetic data. My work on the latter field has been published and accepted at the Privacy Enhancing Technology Symposium 2023.

The Zwiki Transient Facility will detect and measure ~ hundred thousand astrophysical transients each night. The goal of my work is to exploit this rich dataset to improve the calibration of the instrument.

Main research focus on variability studies in gamma-ray astronomy. Developed and analysis pipeline that makes use of time variability to identify transient phenomena over a static background. Secondary topic includes characterization of instrumental uncertainties of the Fermi-LAT (http://fermi.gsfc.nasa.gov/). Set up of a large MC database and of an efficient event selection with TMVA and scikit_learn.

Tutoring the lectures on Astroparticle Physics held by Prof. Marek Kowalski during the summer semester 2015 . My duty was to solve, show and explain the solutions to the exercises accompanying the lectures, correct the students exercise sheets and evaluate them. Also, I was available to the student when something was not clear to them.
