I'm a second-year PhD Student in Modeling and Data Science at the University of Turin. My supervisors are Rosa Meo (Computer Science Dept.), and Stefano Ferraris (DIST dept.). My PhD is in the framework of a cotutelle agreement (UNITA) with the Université Savoie Mont Blanc, in particular with the LISTIC laboratory (Annecy - FR) with Abdourrahmane M. Atto as French Supervisor.My PhD thesis is about groundwater level prediction with machine learning tools, especially Neural Networks. However, my research activities are about the broader field of machine learning for spatio-temporal data which cover many topics among with: Remote Sensing, Earth Observation, Time Series, Satellite Image Time Series (SITS), Environmental Monitoring, Seq2Seq Modeling, etc.My background is in Economics and Statistics. In particular from the bachelor's degree I mostly built my basic analytical and statistical background, and from the master's degree I refined my economics knowledge and focused more on how the economic theory and analytical tools can be applied to help the sustainability of our society.I'm addicted to the unknown, and I love to study and discover new things. I enjoy to approach unsolved problems and solve them with creative and effective solutions.
