After my graduation with honour in BA (Ca' Foscari), I worked for 5 years as an Investment Mgr at Chase Gemina Italia where I was involved in equity investments, including Imbac (rolling shutters), Omim (household appliances), Tecnologistica (logistic services) and Trader (welding). I was also responsible for CGI's involvement in the privatisation programme in Poland, via a CG Polska.In 1997, I joined Argos Soditic where I was responsible for fund raising and investments in Italy (start-up, BIMBO, pre-IPO and Buy&Build) in my role of Partner, member of the Pan-European Investment Committee and Chairman of AS Italia. I acted as non executive director in all the Italian cos invested by AS’s funds from 1997 to 2009, including Pantex (nonwoven), Tipico (pizza delivery), Fillattice (specialty chemicals), Italmatch Chemicals (flame retardants), DVE (publishing) and GPP (paper packaging).From 2009 to 2017, I acted as independent PE professional, having chairmanship position in some industrial cos, including: Bracchi (logistics and transportation), Zetagi (coating), Primat (corrosion protection) and Isem (paper packaging).In 6/2011, I co-founded and managed Made in Italy 1, the 1st Italian SPAC, listed in Italy, which in 2/2013 successfully merged with SeSa, the Italian leader in the B2B, IT valued added distribution industry.In 10/2013, I co-founded and managed GreenItaly 1, the 1st thematic SPAC, focused on the green economy, which in 12/2015 successfully merged with Zephyro, the Italian leading ESCO.In 7/2017, I co-founded and managed SprintItaly, my 3rd SPAC, listed in Milan, which in 5/19 successfully merged with Sicit Group, a circular economy’s champion in the tannery industry.I have been AIFI’s directors from 2003 to 2009 as well EVCA’s directors from 2005 to 2009.I lectures at Milan Politecnico, AIAF, AIFI and EVCA. I have also published several publications on PE’s matters, including a well known private equity handbook published by Egea-Bocconi.
