The work at IAS was proposed under the project name ''HumNat-Health: From People, to People. Theory, Computers, Art''The advancement of science imposes the interaction of models and laypersons to manage and prevent negative outcomes of complex human-natural systems. This project aimed to develop a computational environment enabling clinical researchers, experts from other disciplines, and stakeholders to execute computing experiments on a distributed grid infrastructure. Additionally, the project established the collaboration with the Moving Cell Project (http://ias.umn.edu/2011/09/22/moving-cell-2/) to recreate a dance reproducing the dynamics of diseases in population and to explain the role of uncertainty in complex adaptive systems. Matteo Convertino is Assistant Professor in the UMN School of Public Health’s Division of Environmental Health Sciences, and Principal Investigator of the HumNat Lab for Analysis, Modeling and Management of Complex Biological and Socio-technical Systems. He is also a Resident Fellow of the Institute on the Environment. http://ias.umn.edu/2015/09/04/convertino/
