In charge of managing „Certification and Delivery“ teams located in Lisbon (Portugal) and Brasov (Romania).Main focus of the Certification team is and has been the creation and the keeping of an exhaustive list of checks covering all areas (technical and commercial) of deployment of a site including final report, to challenge installation process and to act as a toll gates between the System Integration team and the Support (Guest Care, Hotel Care and NOC) team.Main focus of the Delivery team is and has been the developing and the managing of a „long-term“ relationships, at proper levels, of critical suppliers (content providers, maintenance partners and ISP providers) managing procurement plan and pricing strategy to support cost objectives. Aside monitoring overall supplier performance, including on-time delivery, competitive pricing and aspects of supplier quality, the team is monitoring purchasing data integrity in the different internal tools.Aside managing the above teams, I was „ad-interim“ at least for six months, still in charge of both Europen NOC (Lisbon and Brasov) and the US NOC in Dulles.Plus, and in parallel, I was assigned, as project technical leader, to the relocation and re-design of our Customer Care single point of contact phone system (IVR included) platform. This ad-hoc project had the aim of implement a Voice Over IP Avaya platform from Swisscom AG to our data farm in Geneva and to become independent and autonomous in managing call traffic, queues and reporting to and from our outsources CallTek (Cebu – Philippines) and to our Lisbon support organizations. Just to mention it: old system cut-over and new system start-up (after less than three months preparation), it caused only five minutes of outage / down-time.According to the daily working with my direct manager, I am acting as a technical ad-visor and deputy of the VP Managed Network Services.

In charge of the Global Network Support, managing and organizing, re-organizing, in primis, the Global Network Operations Centre team.Relocation of the Geneva NOC function to Lisbon – new team created in Lisbon, fifteen technicians, plus a local team leader has been implemented over summer (concretely in four weeks!) - becoming operational on August 1st, 2011. Former Geneva NOC engineers re-organized in a brand new team (called ICC – Installation Configuration and Control) fully dedicated to hardware configurations and network standardization (firmware and hardware template upgrade and roll-out). ICC acted as an escalation point for the Global NOC team, supporting in troubleshooting around the clock on „on-call“ base.Integration under the following the sun umbrella of the US NOC team, six technicians, plus a local team leader.In charge of Post Merge Integration of the WayPort - Copenhagen (Denmark ) NOC team. Local team was initially merged to the global network support team, and, less than one year later the acquisition, dismantled – except for two components that have been integrated into the new ICC team.In charge of Post Merge Integration of the Deuromedia – Brasov (Rumania) IP-Tv support team. Local team was initially integrated under the Lisbon NOC and dismantled after the knowledge handover.Production Facility start-up. Initially in Maubeuge (France) and actually in Lille (France), has been built a team dedicated to hardware staging and configuration. Idea, budget definition, approval and implementations, including building / office set-up, has been done in less than two months.Regular business trips, one or more weeks every month in Lisbon and, at least three times per year, in US (Dulles – Virginia) has been made for the whole period of this role.

In charge of Service-level agreement (SLA) implementations and reporting.Geneva NOC team was grown up to the maximum needed of eight technicians, working on shifts.24x7 support has been implemented and on-call process set-up.Thanks to the acquisition of a Nord American Company (Core-Communications) we was able to start-up and implement a 24x7 support in „following the sun“ mode.
