Responsibilities:• SMP Supervisor on RTIO Sustaining Capital Projects: Yandi GTU Upgrades and HD1 ROM Bins• Mentoring and upskilling of employees at varying stages of individuals’ careers• Education and implementation of methods for safe work execution• Demonstration of hazard identification, motivation of employees to report Hazard Observations• Identification of overlooked challenges in original work scopes• Development of work packs with Engineering team to capture all steps and challenges mitigation• RTIO Project Advisors and Project Leads liaison to align expectations and process improvement• Scheduling of tasks to enable efficient delivery of outcomes with available workforce• Promoting mental health and diversity awareness fostering open communication support channel• Allocation of tasks according to available plant and equipment constraints• Prioritisation of tasks to achieve required online steps ready for shutdown works• Conducting QA/QC on works to ensure consistent standards and prevention of reworks• Attending Leadership in Field and forward planning meetings with Rio Tinto Sustaining Capital• Maintaining discussions with Rio Tinto Ops to limit impact of Project works on daily site operations• Ensuring compliance with Rio Tinto Isolation and Permitting procedures for each task• Planning, scheduling and direction of sub contractor tasks to achieve required targets• Integration with site wide shutdown daily progress update meetings• Diversion of free labour to assist Rio Tinto Ops with critical break in tasks where possible• Coaching of Critical Control Checklists and conducting Field Verifications• Education and development of JHA writing skills to create more fit for purpose documents• Fostering mentalities which allow teams to ‘think outside the box’ during all works conducted
