About Matteo Tirelli
I am an engineer working in the aerospace industry since my graduation. I have developed a thorough knowledge of the sector, thanks to the projects I am working on, with a particular focus on system level activities in the thermal discipline. I had the opportunity to learn a lot at the beginning of my career, when I followed the VEGA launcher missionization process from the VV06 flight as a thermal analyst. With the experience gained, I started working on the development of the VEGA-C launcher as system thermal responsible. I contributed to all the major milestones of the project, from PDR to GQR, creating the launcher system thermal model from scratch and ensuring the compliance of the design with the foreseen mission environment. In this context, I also defined and performed thermal tests at system level on materials and assemblies, including avionic equipment, with the objective to correlate the models and validate the thermal hardware performances. I also took part to products and sub-systems reviews, from PDRs to QRs, and managed the work of my collaborators for all the technical aspects. While I am waiting for the VEGA-C maiden as a spectator, I started a new chapter of my career in SITAEL as a Senior Thermal Engineer, moving my focus from launchers to spacecrafts.I have a strong focus in problem solving and continuous improvement, with a high motivation to plan and complete the objectives in the most profitable way, learning, creating and sharing knowledge with my team.
