Through my experience as a finance researcher, I gained an understanding of the complexities of the M&A world and how to search for potential targets in acquisition transactions, especially by leveraging sources such as FactSet, Mergermarket and financial reports. I conducted financial analyses focused on the post-pandemic trend of the hospitality and coworking sector, or another one about search funds. I also learned how to work with an international team, having to report and manage tasks across teams located in different parts of the world. As an undergraduate student at Bocconi University, my journey began with a thorough understanding of market and management dynamics. I had the opportunity to meet people from every corner of the globe and learn about different cultures. I came to understand the importance of embracing new challenges and continuous learning, which led me to develop an interest in both retail and finance.I believe that I shouldn’t take my educational background for granted, as many people, either my age or younger, still live in difficult conditions and cannot access proper education. That’s why I decided to become a Save The Children volunteer, so that I could support the learning experience of young people with significant hardships burdening their shoulders.
