I founded the company that today is known as 5 Financial, back in 1988.My interest in the industry initially grew from having completed an Economics degree followed by an early career in auditing, insurance and superannuation. But I was hungry to create a business that helped people achieve real financial independence – and that became the cause I pursued in my business. I can trace this desire back to a young age. Even back then it was clear to me that life seemed more interesting, relaxed and fun for those who made wise choices with their money.Freedom from money worries gave people the ability to devote their time to those activities in life they loved. Whether that was being able to spend time with their family, travel, create and grow a business they were passionate about, or any other kind of pursuit, having a strong financial base was a vital ingredient.So why is our business called ‘5 Financial’ you may ask? Well, over the years we noticed that financial success for most people typically comes down to having five key ingredients in place – and doing them well.
